SOMALI WOMAN STONED TO DEATH

Aisho Ibraham Dhuhhulow was buried up to her neck and then stoned to death by a group of men in the main square of the city of Kismayo, Somalia.
The execution was mandated by Islamic Sharia law which calls for the death penalty For WOMEN found guilty of adultery.
Islamist insurgents took control of the city in August from government soldiers and instituted Sharia law .
Local official Sheikh Hayakallah stated that Dhuhulow “wanted to be punished * under Sharia law and she deserved it.”

NEW BBC REPORT DISPUTES SOME FACTS:
BBC reports that according to aid workers on the scene the girl was 13 and reported having been raped.
“I don’t want this,” “don’t do this to me,” she cried as she was dragged to the burial pit.
The new report also says a nurse was asked to certify the girl’s death, so she was dug up and examined. The nurse said the girl was still alive; she was then reburied and the stoning continued.
